What to Expect From Speech Therapy Sessions

Every child is different, and so is every therapy journey. At Tic-Talk-Toe, each session is tailored to your child’s specific goals — whether that means practicing sounds, building vocabulary, improving conversational skills, or developing alternative ways to communicate. Sessions are play-based and engaging, designed to keep kids motivated while making real, measurable progress.

A typical therapy session lasts 30 minutes. During that time, the clinician works with your child using evidence-based techniques, hands-on activities, and strategies you can reinforce at home between visits. Parent coaching is woven into the process — because the work that happens outside the clinic matters just as much as the work inside it.

Why Insurance Coverage Matters

Speech therapy is a medical service, and many families are surprised to learn that their insurance plan covers it — sometimes at little to no out-of-pocket cost. Using in-network coverage means more consistent sessions, which leads to faster and more lasting results for your child. Don’t assume your plan won’t cover it: reach out and we’ll help verify your benefits before your first appointment.
